- "Shark of Wall Street" - 1.1 Update
- Hello there, Ariano here,
- I have a few updates for you today. Before I jump into the new content and the 1.1 update, I want to say two things:
- 1.) Thank you for playing, for being part of the community, for your help, your kind words, your Steam reviews, and for the trust and hope you have in me as a developer and in the game. It truly means a lot!
- 2.) Unfortunately, Craftlings did not sell enough to cover all the costs associated with development and running a small company, and also the consequences of the termination of my publishing contract last year make it even harder.
- Honestly, it’s kind of a wonder I managed to launch the game at all with these circumstances, the stress level, and the limited time and resources after that.
- I’m not allowed to talk about the details and could get into serious trouble if I do — that’s how contracts for indie developers are often structured these days. If you’re interested in what happend, I wrote all I could here.
- Money, Money, Money ...
- Speaking of money, let’s dive into the new update and the new map: “Shark of Wall Street.â€
- In the 1.1 update, I’ve added a new section called “Scenarios.†This is something I’m really excited about — it gives me a place to experiment more with new maps, but also with different game modes and rule sets we haven’t seen in Craftlings before. Expect more variety, more challenges, and some unusual ideas going forward 👀
- The first scenario is the brand-new map: “Shark of Wall Street.â€
- This one is all about building wealth and playing smart with your economy. Your goal is to reach 15k coins and invest them into a bank — which might sound simple, but it really isn’t. You’ll need good planning, a solid settlement setup, and a bit of strategy to get there.
- The twist? Every coin you invest generates interest over time, so if you play it right, your money starts working for you. It’s a bit of a different vibe compared to the usual gameplay, and I think it adds a fun new layer.
- What makes this map special:
- It’s the biggest map so far
- There are many multiple ways to reach the goal
- Parts of the map were influenced (and even designed) by community members â¤ï¸
- You can also treat it like a sandbox and just experiment with different setups
- And… yes, there is actually a shark in the map 🦈
- This is just the beginning for Scenarios — I’ve got more ideas I want to try out here, so let’s see where this goes 🙂
- What next?
- I’ll keep working hard to secure the future of the project and my studio. At the same time, I’ll continue updating the game as much as I can — adding new Scenarios, quality-of-life improvements, and features you’ve been asking for.
- I’m also really looking forward to spending more time with you on Discord — talking about game ideas, maps, strategies, or just hanging out.
- I’ll keep fighting for the game, for fair treatment, and for my reputation. I’ll find a way to keep supporting Craftlings — I promise. It might mean getting creative again, taking on part-time work or contract jobs (including marketing). If you know someone who could use help, feel free to connect us — I’d truly appreciate it.
- To celebrate the Spring Sale and the new update, Craftlings is now 20% off!
