- New Update: Gift of the Veil

- Update 1.5d, Gift of the Veil is here! This is a relatively small, yet very special update for Soulstone Survivors, and we couldn’t be more excited about all that is coming in the future!
- Before anything else, special thanks to Aynix and Faydaen, the MVPs on our Discord that helped us test and come up with many of the adjustments in this update!!
- Anniversary Update
- It’s crazy to think it has already been 1 year since the game was fully released in June 17th 2025, and even crazier to think its been around for almost 4 years considering its time in Early Access! Here’s to many many years more!!
- New Skins
- All characters now have a new bonus skin to mark the occasion! Reach Prestige level 150 with each character to unlock its new skin!
- Balance Changes
- In preparation for all that is still coming in the future, we wanted to give some attention to some of the runes and skills in the game that were either over or under performing!
- Runes:
- Elemental Flow rune reworked: it now causes Burn, Bleed, Poison and Doom to also deal 100% of their damage instantly when applied, instead of making Burn, Bleed and Poison cause damage faster;
- Generalist rune reworked: now it grants you 80% bonus damage if you have 20 or more unique skill types, instead of a flat damage bonus per skill type;
- Savage Pact now gives a maximum of 30% multiplicative critical damage, down from 40%, and requires 700 health for the maximum bonus, up from 500;
- Multicast Mastery now improves multicasts by a factor of 17.5%, down from 25% (factor changed from 0.1 to 0.07);
- Divine Legacy now grants a guaranteed legendary every 30 levels, up from every 25;
- Purity now increases your damage by 30%, reducing the bonus by 2% per negative effect on the target, up from 20% and 4% respectively;
- Adaptive Empowerment increases the damage of your non-fire skills by 15% per fire skill, up from 10%;
- Synchrony now increases damage by 1.5% per repeated skill type your skills have up to a maximum of 30%, up from 0.7% and 20% respectively;
- Head Start now increases your damage and cast frequency by 25%, up from 20%, and gives its bonuses up until level 50, up from 30;
- Impaler area damage now causes damage based on your critical strike chance;
- Death Touch area poison damage is now multiplied based on your maximum health;
- Lord's Bane bonus damage while a Lord of the Void is active increased from 25% to 30%;
- Vulnerable Target now increases your critical chance by 50%, up from 25%;
- Decapitator now has a chance to kill bosses with 15% health or lower, up from 10% health or lower;
- Oscillating Power now ranges from -10% to 50% extra damage, up from -10% to 30% extra damage;
- Sacrificed Growth now grants 0.3% extra damage per level, down from 1%, but maximum bonus is increased to 35%, up from 25%;
- Extended Magazines now grants 2 ammunition stacks, up from 1;
- Pulse of Agony now has a maximum cast frequency bonus of 12.5%, up from 10%;
- Fateful Strikes bonus critical damage reduced from 60% to 55%, but general damage reduction decreased from 20% to 15%;
- Focus Fire bonus damage increased from 30% to 35%, but area reduction increased from -15% to -20%;
- Executioner bonus damage per negative effect reduced from 4% to 2.5%;
- Skills:
- Plague Rats now also applies Weakness when the rats explode, instead of only when they attack;
- Fracturing Blow base damage increased from 80 to 140;
- Shiver of Sharks base damage increased from 60 to 120;
- Ice Shield now applies 10 stacks of Slow and 8 of Fragility, up from 6 and 2 respectively, and cooldown reduced from 9 to 8 seconds;
- Piercing Shout now has a 5 second cooldown, down from 7, and applies 30 stacks of Shattered, up from 20;
- Fire Pillar now has a 5 second cooldown, down from 7, and applies 20 stacks of Weakness, up from 10;
- Void Trap now applies 18 stacks of Weakness, up from 8, and cooldown reduced from 6.5 to 5 seconds;
- Severe Cold now applies 5 stacks of Slow and Disoriented, up from 4 and 2 respectively;
- Piercing Flames now applies 5 stacks of Shattered, up from 2;
- Jawstorm now applies 5 stacks of Fragility, up from 2, and cooldown reduced from 9.5 to 8 seconds;
- Contaminated Cut base damage increased from 100 to 300;
- Lightning Beam now applies 4 stacks of Dazed, up from 1;
- Swamp Boars now have Cunning;
- Living Weapons now have Cunning, and apply 2 stacks of Dazed, up from 1;
- Subdue base damage increased from 100 to 150, and damage per stack from 30 to 40;
- Chaotic Swirl skill base damage per stack reduced from 40 to 10, and projectile duration reduced from 10 to 5 seconds;
- Flaming Spiral burn damage reduced from 200 to 150, and cooldown increased from 1.4 to 1.7 seconds;
- Cobra Totem now has a maximum number of summons of 6, up from 4, but poison damage reduced from 250 to 130;
- Others:
- Barbarian's artifact power Warcry slightly reworked. It now requires 15 artifact power, and grants you a stackable buff when used, which varies according to the weapon. No longer depends on number of targets hit;
- Skill Chain power ups slightly reworked:
- — Fixed an issue where having more than 100% skill chain chance would lead to inconsistent results, in general being less effective than intended;
- — Chained skills can no longer multicast;
- — To compensate, Skill Chain power ups have had their values increased from 6% (Rare), 8% (Epic) and 10% (Legendary), to 12%, 16% and 20% respectively;
- — Hecthoor and Underson Skill Chain powers now provide 75% chain chance, up from 25%;
- — Void King's Skill Chain powers now provide 60% chain chance, up from 20%;
- Divinity skill trait slightly reworked. Now Purity is triggered normally, and whenever it is used, you launch all your skills with the Divinity trait. This fixes an issue where Purity stacks would become either less efficient, or possibly be consumed while the game is paused. This change only affects the skill Immortal's Blessing currently, which now has a small cooldown;
- Gunpowder trait slightly reworked. Now Ammunition is triggered normally, and whenever it is used, you launch all your skills with the Gunpowder trait. This fixes an issue where Ammunition stacks would become either less efficient, or possibly be consumed while the game is paused. This change only affects the skill Gunpowder Burst currently, which now has a small cooldown;
- Fangs of Doom (Aruanak's power) can now only be picked once. It’s damage is increased from 1% to 1.5%;
- General improvements and fixes:
- Fixed an issue where Chaotic would be guaranteed to trigger even if the chance was lower than 100%;
- Fixed an issue where Incandescent Totem would not scale its damage with Fortitude, it now gains bonus damage based on your maximum health;
- Fixed certain boss attacks that could damage you after you left their area of effect due to old optimizations. Should be more responsive and only damage you while you are inside the areas now;
- Skill cooldowns will now show 2 decimals if the cooldown is lower than 1 second;
- Fixed an issue where Ghost Crew (Cursed Captain artifact power) would not track its damage in the logs;
- Made it so Trickster Decoy and Plague Rats no longer leave corpses behind;
- Fixed Japanese font having some weird spacing, breaking the layout in multiple places;
- Fixed in-game tip about where to find the cursor settings;
- Minor UI fixes across the game;
