- Patch 1.1.3
- This patch brings mostly some UI changes and bug fixes.
- UI
- Game will now show a hint that Examine does not end your turn. The hint is shown on button selection but only if you didn't use that option before.
- I noticed some players never examined their enemies to learn about the incoming attacks. This is a crucial part of combat, but some people were convinced that Examining would end their turn.
- This hint will stop showing after you Examine an enemy at any point in the game (from this patch onward)
- Clicking "Examine" after already having examined the foe removes the resulting text and shows enemy's name again.
- Sometimes the Examine result can be quite lengthy and the resulting clutter would often leave players unsure where to click. Hopefully this will make things easier.
- Changed the wording of some enemy attacks descriptions, namely: the buffs. People seem to be often confused how those attacks work. So now, instead of saying "X increases the defense of your foes" it will say "X for the whole duration of this attack reduces the damage you deal!"
- Combat taunts during the fight with are raised up to not cover the UI, also they are displayed longer.
- BUG FIXES
- Enemy Heal (normal Heal, not just from life-steal attack) could be blocked by using a shield.
- This was a side effect of the recent life-steal blocking change.
- I'm really bad at coding.
- Some enemies when Examined were not revealing what exactly they are doing even with a proper skill unlocked; namely, some defensive buffs would not show any details.
- Fixed an issue with several audio sources not respecting the game volume setting.
- If you spot more in-game elements that emit loud noises despite your game running on lowered volume, please let me know. I'm trying to eliminate them all.
- Trains departure information board would reset when you leave/enter the room after fixing it in the prologue.
- Screwdriver description won't mention stabbing while still in the prologue :)
- The Smoldering Husk in the had one of its attacks tagged as normal attack despite it being a devastating attack.
- Small fixes to several graphical glitches
- Various text fixes and changes
- BALANCE CHANGES
- Reduced the chance of Shades using the Heal move.
- The Heal exists mostly on Shades that occur in groups and was meant to add time pressure in taking out the enemies. However, the side effect of this were sometimes near-endless heal loops that could have been easily exploited. The adjusted Heal chance can still provide players with opportunity to cheese if they so desire, but hopefully will feel less broken now!
