    43.    |  Rome has its ambitions. Your family has to eat.                      |
    44.    |                                                                       |
    45.    |  It is 175 BC. You have inherited an estate, a household to support,  |
    46.    |  and (hopefully) enough to begin. What comes next is up to you.       |
    47.    |                                                                       |
    48.    |  Mos Maiorum is a turn-based family and estate simulator set in       |
    49.    |  Ancient Rome. Across generations, you decide how to work the land,   |
    50.    |  earn a living and secure your family?s future while the world        |
    51.    |  around them changes.                                                 |
    52.    |                                                                       |
    53.    |  A good harvest gives you choices. A failed one makes every choice    |
    54.    |  harder. Sell grain while prices are high, or keep it against a       |
    55.    |  hungry winter? Pay for a child?s training, buy another animal, or    |
    56.    |  hold the money for debts coming due? A son serving in the army       |
    57.    |  might return with earnings and a reputation, enslaved or dead.       |
    58.    |                                                                       |
    59.    |  There is room for ambition. Expand your holding, establish a         |
    60.    |  profitable craft, cultivate influential friends or pursue public     |
    61.    |  office. But prosperity brings commitments, and the people you        |
    62.    |  depend on grow old. Eventually, someone else must take charge of     |
    63.    |  everything you have built.                                           |

    81.    |  and changing laws reaching into household life.                      |

    84.    |  Each turn covers a fortnight, with time paused while you inspect     |
    85.    |  the household and make plans. There?s no scored victory: you might   |
    86.    |  try to keep a modest family solvent, build a large estate or         |
    87.    |  establish a name that lasts for generations.                         |
    88.    |                                                                       |
    89.    |  Every ambition competes for your family?s time and resources. A son  |
    90.    |  serving abroad leaves work unfinished at home. A divided             |
    91.    |  inheritance can force the next generation to begin again.            |
