  15. Fixed a bug that could have caused some players to have the wrong font in the user interface.
  16. The game remembers the camera distance and rotation when you go into a building, and reloads that information when you exit the building. The camera distance also no longer resets when you start a battle.

  19. Today we added the first major overhaul to prepare Himeko Sutori for an upcoming free expansion. We completely remade the main menu based on your feedback and we will be using this style of menu in the not-yet-officially-named expansion.

  21. The new main menu is 100% navigable using only the controller, if that's your preference. And it works just as well using mouse and keyboard. The language menu is easier to find. And everything is faster and more responsive.

  23. Update v20210707:
  24. Today we updated the dressing rooms so that their character sheet and functionality match the pause menu. In the dressing rooms, you can now see attack bonuses and you can equip and unequip items by dragging them on or off the equipment slots. You can also equip off-hand weapons automatically by right-clicking on them in the vendor inventory window.

  27. Yesterday and today we rearranged the character sheets to fix some misalignments, condense the stat block, and add attack bonuses. We also added tooltips for attack bonuses and localization entries for all of the new information. We also added some new small bonuses to all classes' level-ups.

  30. Today we added a console command to disable permadeath. If you want to disable permadeath in your game, open the console with ~ or F1. Type in "EnablePermadeath false" and press enter. Now when your characters "die" in combat, they will just be teleported out of the battle. This setting will persists after closing the game, so you will only need to type the command once.

  33. Fixed a bug where the saved game list was not updating when changing campaigns. This also made the player unable to load games after switching campaigns. Saved games are now updated as intended when switching campaigns.
  34. Fixed a bug where if you spoke to the Yamatai emperor, then saved, exited, and reloaded, or left the palace and re-entered, you would skip a large section of a major quest. The quest now progresses as intended.
  35. Fixed collision in a few places where the player could get stuck.

  37. Update v20210615:
  38. Quest display scales with resolution, so 4k monitors will no longer have tiny quest windows.
  39. The outline filter now scales automatically when you change the resolution. This fixes the fat black outlines on 1280x720 and 1366x760.
  40. Fixed a bug that allowed you to attempt loading an empty autosave when you load a modded campaign, causing the game to soft crash. Loading a new campaign now creates empty save files, and disables loading them until you actually save the game, as intended.
  41. Fixed a bug that caused the main menu button text to disappear when playing in Spanish, Portuguese, and other non-English languages that use Roman letters.

  45. Made some functions involved in saving and loading the game more generic and flexible in order to facilitate saving and loading games that are running mods or total conversions.

  49. Fixed a bug that caused the Sound Effects Volume slider to save the Master Volume. The SFx slider now correctly controls and saves SFx volume.

  56. We had run out of SteamInput handles, so we had to change a lot of the controller input system under the hood to re-use various input handles for different situations, instead of creating a new input handle for every button in every situation.

  60. Today we added a major overhaul to the Steam Input system, which adds a lot of new options for how the game can receive input from controllers. This does not change any gameplay yet, but we have plans for improved controller support in a future update.

  63. Fixed the label for female senior rangers, who had previously been listed as male senior rangers.
  64. Increased default movement speed of Cactus Kids and Juggernauts. This will be reflected in any new characters created. Any existing characters will still have a slow movement speed.
  65. Increased the number of level-up cards available to Juggernauts, in both the Sentinel and Demolisher classes. Also added new reactions available to each class.

  68. Update v20210411:
  69. Garrucha pistol increased defense instead of attack power. That has now been changed.
  70. Fiery Rebirth did not have a localization entry and was therefore mislabeled in the game as Life Surge, which did have a localization entry, and which Fiery Rebirth was copied from. Fiery Rebirth is now labeled correctly in-game.
  71. Fiery Rebirth (and other reactions that trigger on death) not triggering very often. This was due to a balance decision to let each character react only once per exchange. Now reactions that trigger on a character's death are no longer limited by the one-reaction rule.
  72. Updated Fiery Rebirth's description to clarify that it only triggers upon one's own death, and will not raise an ally who reaches 0 hp.
  73. Changed the First Aid reaction to heal only one's own injuries, making it a more limited ability than the reactions learned from dedicated healer classes.
