    14. Four men from Harlem in their early 30's,    
    15. friends from childhood, take a late summer  
    16. break, heading out of town in a Mercury      
    17. Monarch on a 30-plus-hour drive to a        
    18. vacation spot. Wilson is an FBI agent,      
    19. George a mechanic, Phil teaches              
    20. African-American studies, and Dre's a        
    21. doctor. They tease and reminisce, mostly    
    22. about sex; they argue, mostly about racial  
    23. politics. Then, late on the second night    
    24. of the trip, they stop at a roadside        
    25. diner. Phil and a cracker get in a pushing  
    26. match, and soon fists are flying. The four  
    27. drive off, but their woes have just begun    
    28. as they get lost on a county road and the    
    29. deputy sheriffs get a call to watch for      
    30. four drug dealers who tried to rob the      
    31. diner.
