1. Patch 1.0.3 - new language + Steam Deck Support
  2.
  3. Hello fellow operators!
  4.
  5. We hope you have enjoyed the past weeks with our 1.0 version, we’re grateful to everyone who bought the game or supported our journey in any way until now!
  6.
  7. If you have followed us for some time, you know that reaching as many gamers around the world is one of our main goals. Spreading the message and keeping people aware of the conflict at hand is of utmost importance to us and the cause. The game is currently playable in 19 different languages, including Crimean Tartar, making Death From Above one of the first games ever translated into this language.
  8.
  9. After a lot of consideration we decided to add a 20th language: Russian. We know that this might surprise and even anger some of you, but we firmly believe that it is important to spread the right message to as many people as possible, especially to those who have the power to change things on their own.
  10.
  11. The moment you start the game in Russian a message will be displayed explaining our reasoning and our hopes to the Russian people playing our game.
  12. The message is as follows:
  13.
  14. “To our Russian players - we thank you for your bravery. We understand how difficult, and dangerous, it is to take a moral stance in Putin’s Russia. That you have bought this game is a point of pride for us, and hopefully you. To know that there are people within Russia who will oppose this aggression, who want to see Ukraine free, is a great comfort.
  15.
  16. But still, the invasion continues. Hundreds of thousands of people are dead - both your countrymen and the people of Ukraine - and yet nothing has been gained, only lost. More of your young men are forced into uniform on pain of death. More of your taxes are spent on arms and armor for a war you never wanted. More Russians pay for Putin’s hubris with their lives and livelihoods.
  17.
  18. We know that you stand against this, and we thank you.
  19.
  20. Take heart. Stay strong. Break the silence. Slava Ukraini.
