    4. The day is finally here - the Wholesome Update for Scriptorium: Master of Manuscripts is now live and ready to download! And what better time for such an update than Wholesome Games Celebration this week? We hope you're as excited as we are, because this one's been brewing for a while and we can't wait for you to dive in. Grab your quills, because there's a lot to cover today - let's get right into it!

But before we get into the update itself, we just had to take a moment to celebrate something incredible: 97% positive reviews here on Steam, from tens of thousands of you who decided to give our game a chance. Countless works of a-m-a-z-i-n-g art created along the way - from breathtaking illustrations to the silliest memes, from stunningly beautiful manuscripts to the most gloriously bizarre ones. All of that exists because of you. Thank you for making Scriptorium what it is today - we couldn't have done it without this amazing community. To celebrate, we put together some of your best artworks, quotes, and reactions into this Official Scriptorium Accolades Trailer!

    10. And the fun fact about this trailer is that... it was created by our players! Literally and figuratively. After launch, two exceptional creators emerged from within our community - Zark & Sophtea - who were making truly extraordinary artworks in Scriptorium, inspired by other games. As it turned out, they run their own film studio in France in their day-to-day life... so we figured this would make for a wonderful story if we entrusted the Accolades Trailer to members of our community! We're honestly blown away by this trailer, and incredibly grateful to have such talented artists among our players.

    14. Wholesome Update Contents!
    15. Alright, let's get into the update. The Wholesome Update is all about cozy new content to fill your Scriptorium with warmth - new sketches to color, a fresh piece of decor for your walls, and dozens of cute, medieval manuscript inspired images to use in your creations (the pig mommy and piglet are our favs!). The update is free and should be available for your automatically when you launch your Steam app.

    19. You can now create your own Sketch Templates!
    20. The most important gameplay addition in the Wholesome Update is a new feature - you can now create your own custom sketch templates! That's right, one of the most requested features is now finally available in the Sandbox Mode. You don't have to make your favorite compositions from scratch each time - now you can create it once and save it for the future.

    25. And the best part of it is that it's incredibly simple. Just select your sketches, click "Save" and your template will now stay available to be quickly re-used in both current and future sandbox creations. Have fun and put it to a good use! Here's the official changelog:

    77. Scriptorium Commercial Use Policy Update
    78. One remaining topic that took us some time, but it's finally almost here.

    80. Many of you have been asking about this, so here's the short answer: yes, it will be possible to use Scriptorium art as part of your commercial projects. As we confirmed many times, non-commercial use is already possible, and you never needed to ask us for that - but we wanted to go a step further and support fellow artists and creators by opening the door to commercial use of the art you created in Scriptorium as well.

    82. This took us a bit longer than expected, because it's a topic we care about deeply and want to get right - so we decided it deserves its own dedicated post rather than a few lines here. On Monday, August 10th, we'll publish a full Steam post covering everything: the rules for using Scriptorium art in your projects, and answers to all your questions. We'll also be available in the comments to respond to any questions, suggestions or concerns you might have!
