  5. Certain circumstances could result in mutant critters that had twice as many genes as they should. While this did not affect their ability to live happy lives, it could make breeding for specific traits difficult or frustrating since it introduced random mutations, including the ability for chickens to reproduce parthenogenetically like microtheros. Truly, life finds a way. Existing mutants have been left as-is, so if you are an artificial selection enthusiast but believe you may have mutants, you may wish to replace your existing flock.
