- Patch #8 – Visual improvements, gameplay fixes & more.

- A new update is now live!
- This patch introduces new visual effects, improves controller support, and includes another round of gameplay, tutorial, and quality of life fixes.
- As always, thank you for all the feedback and bug reports. Your reports continue to help us improve the game with every update.
- New Features
- Visual Effects
- We've added several new visual effects to make cooking feel even more satisfying:
- • New cutting visual effects
- • Better Glass shard effects when bottles and jars break
- • Camera shake when the player gets hit by objects
- • Camera shake when gas tanks or fire extinguishers explode nearby
- • Camera shake now reacts dynamically to the direction of the impact or explosion
- Plating & Cooking
- We've continued improving ingredient handling and plating:
- • GN containers now display ingredient coatings
- • Added support for coating ingredient piece mixtures
- • Ingredients with different coatings can no longer be mixed inside the same GN container
- • Added simple warnings in the Blueprint Editor for impossible actions, such as attempting to grill water
- Gameplay Improvements
- • Improved quality of life when placing stackable ingredients into flat containers such as cutting boards and baking trays
- • Improved liquid visualization inside containers by reducing excessive wave movement when only small amounts of liquid are present
- • Updated controller turning behavior for smoother movement
- • Expanded controller sensitivity range, allowing finer adjustment for gamepad players
- • Knives can now once again be taken from drawers in the Player Kitchen
- • The timer is now hidden while using the Blueprint Editor in the player's apartment
- Visual Improvements
- • Added LOD support for herbs
- • Added LOD support for ingredient spawners
- • Optimized cube ingredient models and LOD distances
- • Improved visual representation of ingredient pieces
- • Improved kitchen texture mipmaps
- • Fixed floor visuals in Kitchen 1
- • Fixed collider for yellow bean portions
- • Improved liquid pouring visualization when filling empty containers
- Tutorial & User Experience
- We've continued polishing the tutorial experience:
- • Fixed a progression blocker on the first tutorial day related to pinned recipes
- • Fixed incorrect tutorial hints when interacting with the oven
- • Restored the missing trolley outline in the player's apartment
- • Added missing controller hints for Mass Unloading and Container Transfer
- • Added the missing hint for returning the trolley
- Fixes
- This update also includes a wide range of gameplay fixes:
- Gameplay
- • Fixed customers not handling props (menus, utensilts) correctly
- • Improved customer fire detection - now the line stops until there's a fire in the kitchen
- • Fixed invalid recipe quantities when coating mixtures
- • Fixed draining interactions that could fail despite correctly targeting the colander
- • Fixed being able to interrupt ladle pouring during plating
- Mass Transfer & Containers
- • Fixed Mass Unload and Container Transfer interactions when unloading ingredient stacks onto grills and into deep containers
- • Fixed network synchronization issues during Mass Unloading
- • Fixed invalid mixture icons appearing in the transfer UI
- User Interface
- • Fixed tasting screen hover when switching controllers
- • Fixed shop inventory losing focus
- • Removed incorrect white square hover that could occasionally appear
- Visual Fixes
- • Fixed solid mixture visualization remaining visible after being AFK
- • Fixed several visual issues affecting piece ingredients
- • Fixed incorrect coating display on the dish rating screen in the player's apartment

- As always, this update also includes numerous smaller fixes, visual polish, optimizations, and quality of life improvements throughout the game.
