  4. New update for today with the Endless Mode moving from Experimental to Default, bug fixing and also a few more balancing changes.

  6. ENDLESS MODE (EARLY VERSION)

  8. On Friday night we added a very early version of the Endless Mode on the Experimental branch. Since the past few days went fine for this new game mode, we decided to move it from Experimental to Default, allowing everyone to play it.

  10. To launch your game in Endless Mode, navigate through the game duration and select Endless:

  15. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: in this short amount of time, we literally just removed the time limit without changing anything to the gameplay, so don’t be expecting something fully functional! We see this as a good way to start a discussion with you to see what would this Endless Mode need the most. Also it will help us find and correct performance issues once the village gets too big (crashes are expected).

  19. BUG FIXES
  20. Optimized a lot of textures in order to prevent some crashes: the game is now lighter and should use less RAM.
  21. Optimized fonts in order to prevent some crashes.
  22. In the mentorship tab, the feedback showing that a mentor is dead or exiled has been fixed so it doesn’t look like the villager is still there.
  23. There was an interface issue in the Build menu once all buildings were built. This issue has been fixed.
  24. Illicit buildings now display a visual feedback when they open a new slot.

  27. Arrows have been added to buildings to make it easier to switch from one to the other. The corresponding shortcut has also been made clearer.
  28. The access to the Neighbours popup has been divided into two buttons: Recruitment and Barter. This should make it easier to find Ernesto the merchant and his trusty llama!

  33. Genetics
  34. Babies born from same-gender couples will now inherit physical features and congenital traits from their parents, in the same way that babies born from different-gender couples do. Storks don’t discriminate anymore!

  36. This is a first step: we’re planning to keep on solving issues with the genetics system in the very near future!

  39. Homeless child: This event now triggers more often. This should greatly decrease the amount of homeless children in the streets of Lakeburg!
  40. Late harvests: Married villagers will no longer take part in this event, as one of the choices could make their marriage break without it being the main focus of the event.

  42. Note: Due to our efforts to reduce RAM usage and crashes, some backgrounds currently have a lower quality. This will be fixed later on as we keep on investigating.
