- Patch Notes 15: The Treetops Update
- Greetings Smallfolk!
- The awaited treetops update is now live on the main branch, offering new enemies, base raids, creature incubation and much more!
- The forest is growing, can you keep up! There is now a traversable canopy connecting all of the great Great Tree in the Overlands, folks can build on it and it is inhabited by familiar creatures and the band new mantises!
- Tameable Mantises now inhabit the Overlands with their unsetting gaze and fast, fierce swiping attacks
- But, if you take a few of these mean beasties down for yourself, you can bag their heads and flex that glorious, green chitin for yourself!
- Though, not all mantises in the canopy are created equal...
- A new way to tame is also here, when you kill a creature, there is a chance it drops an egg, this egg can then be used in an incubator (Unlocked by default) to create a creature- after a short raid on your base that is!
- With this new area, there are also new world events, base raids.
- These are triggered by swiping the eggs of any of the 30+ creatures and incubating it in a new incubation building workstation, that is available by default - this will trigger a raid, so make sure you have your defenses ready!
- Thankfully, bugs don't have Admiral Ackbar to point these out to them, to defend yourself against base raids, there are now traps. Spike walls and spike floors can be made from pyrite or wood to stave off any attack. These are available by default.
- Finally, the one thing we know everyone has been asking for âLichen âa new building material for these new recipes coming straight to your canopy, used in the new Lichen elixir!
- Adittionally with this update, comes the ability to hide helmets, located within your character UI, as well as various fixes and performance improvements.
