- Update v1.0.0.15:
- Significant performance improvements in the final boss fight area, the final cinematic sequence, and at the end of Act 1. We identified models that had been performance tuned but didn't have them applied to all instances. Your framerate and memory usage in these areas should be extremely improved. On our 4090 dev rig, we now see 90FPS with all settings maxed on 1080P with DLSSAA on in these areas, whereas it was much lower before.
- Major gameplay trigger points across the title have been improved to ensure the player cannot miss them. Speedrunners identified several areas where a play could jump or move in an extremely specific way to dodge the trigger starting. While great for the speed running community, it would cause normal players to have a subpar experience, so these areas are fixed.
- Minor fixes to player sliding animations.
- Update v1.0.0.13:
- Remapping menu for Keyboard, Mouse, and Gamepad controls is now available. Access it via either the Main Menu, or ingame at any time by pressing escape and going to the Rebind Keys button. Keyboard and Mouse controls are at the top, and scroll down in the menu to see where gamepad controls can be changed. As part of this update we removed some minor iconography across the title and put in warning messages where default controls are being shown.
- Shader Compile button is now available in the settings menu. When you press this button, the game will compile all shaders across the title. These compiled shaders are then stored in the local directory and should not require recompilation except when new content is released for the title.
- Numerous inconsistencies with game statistics being reported in the Escape menu during gameplay, and on the rankings screen have been fixed. Stats should now remain consistent, and requirements for higher level rankings have been relaxed. New extremely high level rankings have also been added for borderline perfect playthroughs.
- Framerate options have been improved, including 120FPS, 240FPS, and unlocked framerates. You can change this in the video settings.
- Issues where physicals props, like gun magazines during reload, passing through the player while moving have been adjusted.
- Upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.4's enhanced input model. This offers superior input handling for controls across all input devices and you should notice a slight improvement in fluidity on gamepads and mice especially.
- Breakable objects will now always shatter on their first hit. This was most commonly seen with barrels which typically required multiple hits to actually have their breaking animation play.
- A new weapon is available at the end of the game on NG+ in high difficulties if you can find it.
- Performance has been improved and memory usage is reduced across the entire title.
- Update v1.0.0.12:
- CPU usage across the game has been reduced which has improved performance in all sections. Act 2 received a tremendous CPU performance boost and if you encountered stuttering in that area before, it should now be gone or greatly reduced.
- Reduced GPU usage in some areas by switching out VFX for visually-close replacements that were far less taxing. In some cases it was an improvement on graphics with additional lighting added.
- Fixed an issue with saved games where a player could bring weapons from a later save into an earlier save.
- Fixed a minor text issue in the menu system.
- Fixed menus displaying duplicate borders in cases where options needed to be hid in and out of gameplay.
- The Map has been slightly adjusted to represent the player's position more accurately while ensuring it's designed function to be vague and somewhat opaque remains.
- Update v1.0.0.11:
- Massive performance improvements when running ray tracing and other graphics settings at very high levels. There has been a very small change to visual fidelity in some limited cases, but overall the presentation is extremely similar.
- Minor clean up and performance improvements across the title, especially in VFX heavy situations.
- Journal now correctly reports unlocked pages across saved games. Journal will reset during a transition into NG+.
- Minor fix to a story beat near the end of the game for better consistency.
- A new weapon is added in the final section of the game when in NG+.
- A fix for a potential softlock through getting trapped at the end of the game.
- Update v1.0.0.9:
- - Runtime performance improvements and memory optimizations across the game.
- - A new blood system (enabled by default) that uses particle systems for blood sprays instead of the higher quality model solution in the launch version. To return to the higher quality blood option, go to Game Settings and turn on High Quality Blood.
- - Blood decals now fade smoothly instead of disappearing.
- - Community Feature Request: An option to disable outlines (such as around a breakable container) across the game. See Game Settings.
- - Community Feature Request: An option to disable the crosshair at all times, even if you're in the crosshair aiming mode. See Game Settings.
- - Enemies disappearing on death in Besieged and Onslaught Mode now die naturally, and fade into and out of existence properly.
- - Ranking system has been modified to make higher level rankings up to S+++ more reasonable to achieve. Issues with rankings being capped on lower difficulties has also been adjusted.
- - Improved the settings menu with better scrollability as Game Settings continue to grow from community requests.
- - Enemy dismemberment systems have been adjusted to improve performance while also ensuring dismemberment can happen frequently to support player gameplay options during combat.
- - Infinite ammo paired with fully automatic weapons now function better with improved object pooling.
- - A minor boost to texture quality across the title.
- Update v1.0.0.8:
- Fixes for New Game Plus where enemies killed in prior playthroughs did not respawn. Starting New Game Plus, and loading a previous save in New Game Plus, should be fixed now.
- The Flamethrower, as well as all grenade and explosive damage attacks have had a significant damage buff. The damage over time effect of lighting enemies on fire also deals significantly more damage now. This damage increase makes explosives more dangerous to the player as well.
- Several achievements that were incorrectly awarded on the Rankings screen after clearing the campaign have been fixed.
- Minor bug fixes, improvements, and other changes across the game.
