- New Modes & Difficulties Out
- You asked. We promised. We delivered.
- New difficulty modes:
- Story Mode - for those wanting to follow along the story without having to worry too much about dying again and again... and again.
- Blood, Sweat and Tears - for those wanting an extra challenge.
- Custom Mode - where you can adjust the experience and include modifiers like no more ammunition at traders, turn off curse lifting, blessings and more!
- One new achievement related to Blood, Sweat and Tears.
- A special “victory†item awaits those who battle through Blood, Sweat and Tears to forever remind them of their difficult deed.
- New Game+ is here as well, with its own modifiers!
- Dare to combine it with one of the new difficulty modes?
- New quests:
- Jim is suspicious of the new basement in the saloon, but he also has another big job on his mind.
- The shaman may require assistance once more in another attempt to right the wrongs.
- A brand new NPC may offer two wild, new quests that will take player across whole map
- These modes and quests will most certainly need balancing...
- so we're gonna need feedback from y'all!

- Bug fixes:
- Traits screen is now back to how it looked prior to 4.3.0
- Fixed a rare issue in which certain saves from Chapter 1 could never load properly
- Fixed the Occult Mask to now apply a full Curse properly on player death
- Fixed an issue with Priest’s coughing in Chapter 2 that could be heard in the Fort area even after rescuing him
- Fixed kills with dynamite not counting towards Crimson Brooch’s value
- Fixed Strix dealing more damage in melee than intended
- Fixed arrows appearing at the center of the screen for a split second on high framerates
- Fixed “Loremaster of the Barren Lands†achievement being granted before gathering the last note
- Fixed bug that was preventing keybindings for staying for some users
- Improvements:
- Optimization for vast amounts of dead enemies across whole map - this should increase performance and stability of the game in cases where player killed a lot of enemies
- Game should be able to recognize corrupted saves a bit better and inform about them
- Debuff from using a Cigar has been improved/nerfed
- Totem of Souls voice has been slightly improved
- Text-scaling can be changed in the Settings menu
- Small text improvements
- Small improvements and fixes to keybinds (especially AZERTY layout) and controllers
