- Changes & Improvements
- Added options to disable the following knockout protection-related rules in the Rules tab of the Match Setup menu:
- Repeat Recovery Protection
- Orange shields with longer durations being granted instead of blue shields upon recovering from the 3rd or more knockout within a 30 second window
- Domination Protection
- Red shields granted to a player who is dominated by another with a streak of 6 knockouts on a single hole, protecting them only against the dominating player, which last until the dominated player retaliates
- White Flag
- Appearing over dominated players’ heads, preventing any further knockouts inflicted on them from awarding the players dominating them with speed boosts
- Red knockout immunity shields are now only given to players who are dominated by another player with a streak of 6 knockouts if the entire knockout streak occurs on the same hole, rather than the streak carrying over between holes. Existing red shields will still be carried over between holes
- Improvements to the votekicking system:
- At least 1/3rd of eligible voters in a lobby must vote “yes†for a votekick to succeed, even if more “yes†votes were cast than “no†votes
- If the lobby host votes “no†on a votekick, it counts as a veto and immediately ends the votekick with a failure, regardless of how many “yes†votes were cast
- In public lobbies:
- Non-host players can only initiate or participate in votekicks after having been connected to the lobby for at least 15 minutes
- Players who have been connected to the lobby for less than 15 minutes do not count towards the total number of eligible voters on a votekick (unless the votekick is targeted against them, in which case they still automatically vote “noâ€)
- Hosts are not subject to the 15 minute limitation and can initiate and participate in votekicks immediately upon creating the lobby
- Hosts can instantly kick players who have been connected to the lobby for less than 15 minutes
- If a votekick is initiated against a player who has been connected for less than 15 minutes and the host votes “yesâ€, the target of the votekick will be kicked immediately
- In friends or invite-only lobbies:
- Hosts can always immediately kick other players
- Players are allowed to initiate and participate in votekicks as soon as they connect, and are not subject to the 15 minute limitation
- Non-host players who have been connected to the lobby for less than 15 minutes will have a label reading “new†by their name on the pause menu
- Tooltips, onscreen messages, and automated text messages have been edited and added to clarify all of the above
- Optimization & Fixes
- Fixed players being hit with a swung landmine very briefly before being unfrozen causing them to be stuck in a frozen state for the duration of the hole
- Fixed orange (extended duration) knockout immunity shields being granted to players even if their past three knockouts did not occur within a 30 second window under certain circumstances
- Fixed players being awarded a speed boost when freezing a player with a white flag (meaning they are dominated by the freezing player) while the player being frozen is in a golf cart
- Fixed red knockout immunity shields (caused by dominating another player with a streak of 6 knockouts all happening on a single hole) not being visible at the start of a new hole under certain circumstances
- Fixed golf balls not passing through players who have a red shield against the ball's owner under rare circumstances
- Fixed the 16th player in the lobby’s kick and mute buttons on the pause menu not being clickable
- Fixed players freezing themselves and another player with a freeze bomb during a match being awarded the “Playing with Fire†achievement
