  2. 🗝 Rebirth, now improved
  3. Rebirth was a powerful idea, but in practice it felt like you were giving up a lot for too little. Time to fix that.

  5. If you choose Rebirth, a new event can now spawn on maps: Pandora’s Box.
  6. Open it and things get serious fast. Tough enemies will spill out and try to end your run on the spot.

  8. Defeat them and you will receive three rounds of rewards:
  9.  
  10. each round lets you pick 1 out of 4 Improvements for your existing Powers
  11.  
  12. This is meant to help you really use those extra Power slots you unlocked with Rebirth by leveling up much faster.

  14. 🎯 Mouse controls and smarter aiming
  15. This one was one of the most common requests on Steam and Discord.
  16.  
  17. You can now play using mouse controls if that is your preferred way to survive the hordes
  18.  
  19. Most Powers also gained an option to auto target the nearest enemy, which makes aiming smoother and more accessible, especially for new players
  20.  
  21. For controller users we also added a small but important tweak:

  23. if auto aim is enabled, letting go of the analog stick now turns auto aim off, so you can instantly switch back from the manual precision when you need it

  25. 🇮🇹 New language: Italian
  26. Welcome to the battlefield, Italian Survivors!

  28. Update 1.3 adds full Italian support in menus, UI and gameplay.
  29. It was one of the most requested languages, so we are very happy to finally say: benvenuti.

  31. 🛡 Structures, crits and balance
  32. A few balance changes aimed at keeping late game runs challenging, but fair:

  34. Structures now gain HP over time and with difficulty
  35. Your defenses toughen up as the run goes on, so they are not instantly deleted in the late stages.

  37. Critical Hit Chance now has a cap
  38. Crit chance can no longer reach 100%. High end builds should still feel powerful, but there should always be some risk.

  40. 🛠 Quality of life improvements
  41. A lot of small changes that should make every run feel smoother:

  43. Nezha’s Power now starts in the direction of the nearest enemy instead of straight ahead, which makes his opening moments much more reliable
  44.  
  45. Pythia’s Power has been strengthened so it feels more useful early on rather than “good later, if you manage to survive weak now”

  47. Post run summary flow was cleaned up
  48.  
  49. first tap on Space shows the stat screen
  50.  
  51. second tap returns you to the main menu
  52. No more accidentally skipping your summary because you pressed Space too fast.
  53.  
  54. Rebirth button is now easier to see and understand, so you do not miss it when you are ready for a fresh start
  55.  
  56. Highlighting Hard difficulty now clearly explains that this mode is where you earn Divine Crystals, which was one of the most common questions
  57.  
  58. When you reach the maximum level for a class, the game now makes it clear, so you know you squeezed every drop of power out of that Survivor

  63. We have added a new section in the Credits that highlights the community’s contribution to Achilles: Survivor.
