- Update v1.1.0.0:
- Letterbox mode can now be disabled
- While we built REPLACED from the ground up as a 21:9 cinematic experience, we appreciate that it can feel like wasted screen space - particularly for Steam Deck players. You can now remove the black bars with a toggle in the graphics menu.
- We also experimented with superwide support, but the reframing created a lot of visual issues. Our scenes are built like movie sets, so outside of the frame, there s often nothing there. 16:9 also presented issues with enemies and hacking terminals being offscreen, making the play experience worse. Sorry.
- Dialogue is now skippable
- This is enabled by default now. Inevitably, skipping to the end of a dialogue also means you skip to the end of any character and camera motion for that dialogue. We re working on a fix for the most jarring examples, but hopefully you find this useful in the meantime.
- Level select with collectable tracking
- We heard you loud and clear on this one. You can now revisit any chapters you ve completed scene by scene, and we also track the collectables for that section. This will help you in your efforts to 100% the game. This feature will also unblock the last few remaining issues where a save file was blocked by a glitch: you can go back and replay that section with the progression issue solved.
